Overview
Nepal is one of the few countries in the world with ten UNESCO World Heritage Sites, seven of which are located within the Kathmandu Valley. These culturally and historically significant sites reflect remarkable architectural design, rich cultural heritage, and ancient traditions. The World Heritage Site tour takes visitors through the three medieval cities of Kathmandu, Patan, and Bhaktapur, showcasing pagoda-style temples, monasteries, stupas, and three royal palaces built by the Malla kings between the 12th and 18th centuries.
The three-day World Heritage Site tour covers seven major attractions in the Kathmandu Valley: Kathmandu Durbar Square, Patan Durbar Square, Bhaktapur Durbar Square, Boudhanath, Swayambhunath, Pashupatinath, and Changunarayan. This tour highlights both the historical and cultural significance of these landmarks, as the Kathmandu Valley is home to more than 50 ancient temples, monasteries, and royal palaces.
Kathmandu, Patan, and Bhaktapur Durbar Squares are renowned for their artistic excellence, featuring intricate stone architecture, courtyards, and pagoda-style temples. Near Bhaktapur lies the Changunarayan Temple, believed to be the oldest temple in Nepal, dating back to 325 AD and located to the east of the Kathmandu Valley.
